Memorial Day Weekend

Our best friends, The Rivers, invited us to come along on their annual trip to Six Flags Kentucky. We had never been before and thought we would take them up on their invite. It was a lot of fun. Sean and their son Tyler get along very well and it was nice that they had each other to hang out with.

We drove up on Friday night and hit the park on Saturday. I sat out for all the rides but according to Danny and Sean they were a blast. Six Flags Kentucky is actually two parks in one. They have Kentucky Kingdom, which is all of the normal roller coasters and such, and then there is Splash Kingdom, which has a wave pool and lots of water rides. We stayed most of the day.

On Sunday Danny and I drove over the river into Indiana to find a Regions ATM. I can now officially say I've been there even if it was only for 20 minutes or so. Then my sweet hubby took me to an awesome scrapbook store there and loaded me up on lots of goodies (He's the best)! We spent a lot of the day in the pool at the hotel where we stayed and then met up with Melanie (a friend from church that moved to Louisville) for dinner. After dinner we found a miniature golf course and batting cages so we did that too. I won the first half (beginner's luck) and Danny won the second. Charlie won overall, though I'm not sure how that happened. Ha, ha. Just kidding Charlie.

We got up early this morning and hit the road back home. Matthew stayed with his Papa and Mimi so we were anxious to get back to him. It was a great time had by all but Danny and I have decided that from now on our kids (regardless of their ages) will go on vacation with us. We miss them way too much. Besides, we are thinking about going back next year and adding the Louisville Zoo to the mix so that would be fun for Matthew and Chase.

School's Out, Wednesday night church is over

and I'm sighing in relief. Our schedule seemed to get more hectic than normal these past few weeks and I am glad to say that things are coming to a slow down. Whew!!! With that being said, let me fill you in. No pics this time, sorry.

Sean has finished up a great year in third grade by making the A/B Honor Roll. He made 6 A's and 2 B's. We are so proud of him. Third grade has been a little tough for him in the aspect of learning to be responsible for himself and keeping things organized so these grades are super. He will get to move on to the fourth grade and his teacher is moving up too so he will be in her class again next year. She is awesome so we are looking forward to Fourth Grade for sure.

Danny and I have been serving in different areas of our church on Wednesday nights and Sean has been going to Kidmo. We've been doing this since August and this is the first time we have ever gone to church on Wednesday nights. We all enjoyed it but things got crazy once the baseball season got under way. We made it through though! Seans group finished up the year with a Soap Box Derby race. They made and painted their own cars and got to race for trophies. Sean did not win but he had a blast anyway.

The regular baseball season is coming to an end but I can't say it's over just yet. You see, Sean has made the All Star team so we will have a long weekend of games coming up soon and once those are over with he also tried out and made a travel team. So we will be hitting the road this summer playing at different parks in the Nashville area.

We are also now in the final weeks of being a family of 4 and it's a little crazy thinking that we will be adding another one to the mix so soon. I'm planning on having labor induced on July 28th so that puts Chase being here in 9 weeks! This pregnancy has gone by way too fast!

It's Rodeo Time

Last night some very nice friends of our gave us their tickets to the rodeo. I have never been to one of these events before so I was very excited. There was lots of bronco bucking, steer wrestling, and calf wrangling going on. Matthew liked the music. He was so cute. He just kept bopping up and down dancing along. Sean and I agreed that our favorite part was the bull riding. Dannys was the Barrel Racing.
